A Brief History of Grade Leather Ltd
Grade Leather Ltd manufactures & supplies the Finest ‘English’ Tanned leather, specifically for the equestrian trade.
The Company was founded in 1991 when Mr Graham E. Bird took his previous 30 years of experience as a currier and leather chemist to a Tanner in Barcelona, Spain, where he organised the production, including tanning and currying to produce bridle and saddle leather to English specification.
The currying and finishing of butts, backs and shoulders are produced using English, Irish and European hides.
Suppliers to the Equestrian Leather Trade
Grade Leather Ltd currently supplies a very high percentage of the total leather, supplied to the home of the bridle, saddle and harness production -Walsall, England.
The balance of trade is exported to many countries throughout the world, and the scope of international agents is increasing continuously.
Due to the extrusive world market, the Company has been able to source many suppliers of fittings and accessories to complement the range of leather available.
